Bridal Satin Comforter - living and sleeping in luxury!Getting to know the different varieties of Bridal Satin Comforters: Bridal Satin can be made from a variety of fabrics using different fibers ranging from natural silk to synthetic nylon. A Bridal satin comforter comes in white, cream, ivory as well as many gloriously rich and passionate colors - even black. It's so easy to change the whole look and feel of your bedroom simply by having a different colored set of satin bedding or just throwing a shiny, satiny quilt, comforter or bedspread over normal bedding. Different fibers used in bridal satin Let’s just run through the different combinations of fibers that, depending on the manufacturer, are often used in Bridal Satin. Charmeuse Satin (often referred to as silk satin) is a completely new concept in satin bedding and can be compared to Bridal Satin. Charmeuse material can actually be polyester or silk and both sorts are often called by both names, such is their similarity. The finely woven, luxurious and very practical polyester Charmeuse satin is made of a material similar to the finest satin lingerie. The fabric is shiny and very smooth and hangs beautifully. Bridal satin can also be made with nylon and is exceptionally strong. Although it can have pilling problems after washing, some merchants consider it to be superior to polyester satin as it is generally thicker, stronger and more lustrous – it’s also really durable. Polyester satin is an excellent practical and beautiful fabric. It is fully machine washable and requires minimum iron. Satin can also be made from silk and acetate which are both natural fibers. Acetate is produced from wood fibers – those with allergies may have fewer problems with these types. They are also similar in that they require very careful handling and maintenance. So many advantages when sleeping under a satin comforter There is no friction from satin bed linens and lying between, say, a satin sheet and satin comforter seems to bring a surplus of ‘feel-good’ sensations – a comforting indulgence indeed. Your hair will look and feel better from sleeping on a satin pillow case. The comforter dressed in sumptuous Bridal Satin usually covers the entire bed. It can have a drop at the sides and the foot of the bed of between 15” – 21” (38cm – 54cm). The material used for filling it can be South American Alpaca fleece which stays warm dry and comfortable. It can also be filled with down, bonded polyester and even silk floss. Satin has that property of feeling cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It is particularly comfortable when air conditioning is being used.
