Satin fabrics are very practical

Now your daydreams can become a living reality as satin fabrics are so practical.   You don’t need ladies-in-waiting to do the hard work  –  there isn’t any to do!   You can machine wash and dry most satins.   Take a standard polyester satin linen:  it has all those desirable satiny qualities;  and still it’s durable and readily washable to bring it back to its stainless freshness.   You may like to give a bit more thought to the different materials.   ‘Bridal satin’ bedding has the shiniest surface and is normally made of nylon, which is very strong and resistant to massage oil staining.   But, like silk, it doesn’t like sunlight.   An acetate satin can be delicate and difficult to wash.   Sateen is cheaper cotton with great satiny qualities  -  well worth considering.   Silk has the finest reputation and a Charmeuse silk is quite practical as well as being very regal satin.

In fact I would suggest polyester Charmeuse satin sheets for all round bedding purposes.   It provides pretty much the best of everything with regard to sensuality, stunning looks and overall practicality and ease of use.   Whatever you decide on, remember to check the manufacturer’s washing details, as their descriptions and instructions often differ between brand and fabric.
