Find out the ‘thread count’  –  around the 200 threads per square inch is about right.   If you go for a higher count, the bedding is more expensive without equivalent increases in quality.   You might like to check out satin bedding  –  satin woven from 100% polyester or nylon is a durable, comfortable product.   Keep a look-out for Charmeuse satin which has a smooth feel, drapes beautifully with a great sheen.   It's also long-lasting and easy-care.   Go for a woven satin sheet as opposed to - knitted has a rough texture, more suitable for bedspreads or comforters.

Made-to-measure’ or ‘off the shelf’
